eHarmony Selects Redis Enterprise for Unmatched Real-Time Performance

eHarmony, the long-standing online relationship service with more than 54 million users and up to 15 million matches generated per day, needed to deliver real-time, personalized matchmaking to hundreds of thousands of concurrent members. Its legacy store (Voldemort) struggled with ever-growing concatenated keys, insufficient performance at scale, and lack of enterprise support, creating operational pain and the risk of slow or delayed match results.

eHarmony moved core real-time workloads — authentication, analytics, match searches, news feeds and profile data — to Redis Enterprise, using Redis data structures (like Hashes) to simplify storage and reduce key bloat. The Redis Enterprise Pack provided in-memory, low-latency performance, high availability, automated management and 24/7 support, enabling real-time personalization at scale, a much lower operational burden, and plans to expand Redis across additional use cases.
