Axis Bank’s mobile app revamp skyrockets UX satisfaction

Axis Bank needed its mobile app to show accurate, real-time account and authorization updates, but branch-made changes were not appearing because the app relied on a traditional database setup. This caused slow updates, customer complaints, and poor UX for millions of users. Axis Bank turned to Redis, using Redis as a real-time data platform to support its mobile banking experience.

Using Redis Data Integration and Redis Query Engine, Axis Bank built a Runtime Account Authorization solution that continuously synced data from core banking tables into Redis, with high availability managed through Pacemaker. Redis helped eliminate manual intervention, improve stability, and deliver faster access to customer data across more than 10 million daily users. The result was a 4.25x faster response time, along with better performance, improved user experience, and more reliable digital banking.
