Active-Active Redis Delivers Resiliency and High-Availability for Flowdesk’s Global Cryptocurrency Trading Platform

Flowdesk, a crypto trading and fintech platform, needed a highly available, low-maintenance database that could deliver sub-second access to global order books and integrate with Google Cloud, Terraform, and VPC peering. As its trading activity grew, Flowdesk turned to Redis Enterprise on Google Cloud and Active-Active Redis to support real-time trading and market-making across multiple regions.

Redis implemented a multi-region architecture with Redis Enterprise in Japan, Europe, and the western United States, caching orders, prices, and market movements while synchronizing data across regions. The result was more than 1 million orders per day, sub-millisecond latency, zero downtime, and automatic scaling to handle peaks of 60,000 IOPS, helping Flowdesk expand economically and confidently.
