A Redgate Case Study
Surgical Information Systems (SIS), a provider of software for ambulatory surgery centers, faced significant delays in its development cycle. Its database provisioning process was slow and manual, requiring large, shared servers that were time-consuming to manage. This ineffective and error-prone testing infrastructure increased costs and delayed the release of new features to customers. SIS turned to Redgate's test data management solution to address these challenges.
Redgate implemented a self-service infrastructure that used virtualization to quickly create small, efficient copies of large databases. This solution drastically reduced the time to create and update development and testing environments from hours to minutes. As a result, SIS achieved a massive time saving of approximately 12 hours per day across its global teams, significantly improved testing quality, lowered its defect rates, and was able to get new features to market twice as fast.
