A Redgate Case Study
Republic Bank, a US community bank with over $5 billion in assets, needed an enterprise-wide solution to identify and categorize Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to comply with data privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. They challenged to find a tool for data classification and cataloging that would protect sensitive customer data and satisfy auditors.
Redgate implemented its SQL Data Catalog to address these needs. The solution provided automatic data classification, significantly reducing the time required to tag sensitive information, and gave the bank a real-time view of its data estate. This enabled Republic Bank to easily evidence its data protection processes to auditors and build strong cross-divisional relationships, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
