A new approach to database provisioning

Moody’s Analytics, a $3.6 billion financial services provider, faced a significant challenge as the time required to provision test databases was slowing down its development processes. Test Engineers, in particular, needed multiple daily database copies to run integration and acceptance tests, and the lengthy provisioning time created a bottleneck. To address this, they turned to the vendor Redgate and its solution, SQL Clone.

By implementing Redgate's SQL Clone, Moody’s Analytics was able to drastically reduce the time it took to deploy a database copy, cutting the process down from hours to just minutes. This new approach to database provisioning paved the way for faster development cycles and significantly improved efficiency for the Test Engineer team.
