Pret A Manger, one of the UK’s largest food and drink retailers, needed to scale its cloud-first strategy beyond the limits of its on-premise virtual desktop infrastructure. To support expansion across more than 500 locations and improve consistency, security, and desktop management, it turned to Redcentric and Microsoft’s Windows Virtual Desktop service.

Redcentric implemented a cloud-based Windows Virtual Desktop solution that let Pret A Manger migrate desktop resources to Azure, standardize desktop images, and provision session hosts quickly across stores. The rollout was completed smoothly across 22 pilot stores, with benefits including faster shop setup, lower management overhead, multi-session licensing efficiencies, and a more consistent end-user experience, with plans to expand to all global franchises.
