Origin Housing - Customer Case Study

Origin Housing, which manages more than 7,800 affordable homes across London and Hertfordshire, needed to modernize an aging network to support dispersed offices, care services, and a mobile workforce. The organization wanted secure, flexible, and easy-to-manage connectivity that could keep staff connected to desktop applications and support ongoing cloud migration. Redcentric helped Origin Housing upgrade from an infrastructure that was no longer fit for purpose, using services including WAN, LAN, managed firewalls, Meraki WLAN, and virtual desktops.

Redcentric implemented a resilient network design with broadband and fibre connectivity, BT RO 2 internet for the main office, dual physical entry points to reduce single points of failure, and reconfigured switches to support dual routes. Redcentric also managed the servers, Windows environment, and firewalls while Origin retained oversight. The result was improved network stability, speed, and resilience, stronger security and compliance, simpler IT management, and a scalable platform for future growth across around 150 workplace settings.
