A Redcentric Case Study
Leigh Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust supporting 28 schools and 18,000 students, needed greater flexibility, security, and scalability for its IT estate as it moved toward a more cloud-based model. The Trust also wanted to centralise back-office services, reduce on-premises costs, and ensure it could support remote learning effectively, especially after Covid-19 accelerated demand for digital teaching. Redcentric provided the managed cloud and infrastructure support behind this strategy.
Redcentric implemented connectivity, monitoring, support, private cloud, VDi, and telephony services across Leigh Academies Trust’s sites and Farnborough data centre, helping the Trust manage services proactively and securely. The result was greater agility and resilience: LAT was able to continue operating during Covid-19, rapidly expand remote learning, and accelerate its device rollout, while reducing capex and on-site infrastructure costs. Redcentric also helped create the foundation for innovative STEM learning and ongoing cloud expansion.
