A Redcentric Case Study
Howdens Joinery, a leading UK supplier of kitchens and joinery to trade customers, needed an IT partner to support rapid growth, strict uptime demands, and the rollout of resilient data and voice services across more than 625 depots and 6,500 employees. It chose Redcentric to help manage network, disaster recovery, and telephony requirements while keeping systems available for time-sensitive depot and customer operations.
Redcentric implemented managed network services, hosted data centre and backup services, and its Unity IP Telephony platform to replace around 500 in-house PBX systems. The result was a single resilient private network, stronger disaster recovery, improved security, and easier scaling for new depots. Howdens says Redcentric is helping it open 30 new depots a year on time and to budget, with significant cost savings expected over the five-year contract.
