Barker and Stonehouse - Customer Case Study

Barker and Stonehouse, the UK’s largest independent family-run furniture retailer and online store, needed to upgrade its network to fix performance issues, especially transferring large graphics files between sites. The company also wanted better uptime and a more efficient way to support its growing operations, so it turned to Redcentric for managed network services and IP telephony.

Redcentric implemented a high-performance network across Barker and Stonehouse’s stores and warehouses, then added cloud-based IP telephony and later data hosting and virtual server services. The results included at least three times the previous network bandwidth for less than the cost of BT, free inter-branch calls, significant cost savings, improved resilience and support, and easier day-to-day file transfer and data management.
