Ascot Racecourse needed a future-proof IT, communications and cabling infrastructure to support up to 300,000 visitors at Royal Ascot, along with trainers, jockeys, media, caterers and betting partners. The racecourse wanted greater scalability, resilience and connectivity for broadcast, public safety and customer experience, and turned to **Redcentric** for the redesign and installation.
**Redcentric** delivered the systems design, cabling planning and installation across the site in 14 weeks, coordinating 27 other companies and providing a single managed wireless solution for all users. The new network connected 550 Tote betting terminals, photo finish systems, and 1,600 IP TV monitors, improving visitor access and partner operations while helping Ascot create new revenue streams and attract more non-race-day events through a more flexible “plug and play” venue.
