A Redbeam Case Study
Internova Electrical Contractor, a provider of electrical services in Puerto Rico, faced challenges tracking over 1,000 tools across more than 20 locations. Without a formal system, they had poor visibility into tool usage and storage, leading to wasted time searching for items and the need to replace lost tools. The construction environment added complexity by making barcode labels impractical.
Redbeam implemented its Check In Check Out software and a cabled barcode scanner to solve this. The solution provided excellent tool visibility, allowing employees to see a tool's location, user, and usage frequency. This enabled inventory management by project, which increased the organization's overall productivity. The system could even track non-barcoded items using handwritten or etched IDs.
