Energy Efficiency Upgrades Across The Berry Global Portfolio Significantly Lower Energy Usage

Berry Global, a large industrial manufacturer, faced intense competition for internal capital and the operational risks of modernizing its outdated, energy-intensive lighting across a complex portfolio of facilities. The company needed a capital-free and scalable modernization solution that would avoid disruption. They partnered with Redaptive, which offered its Infrastructure Monetization model combining funding, turnkey execution, and digital measurement.

Redaptive implemented a programmatic LED retrofit, upgrading 26,992 fixtures across 7.6 million square feet at 38 locations. This solution delivered significant results, including gross energy savings of $16 million and a reduction of 81,344 metric tons of CO₂e over ten years. The program also avoided $6.17 million in capital expenditure for Berry Global, preserving their capital for core priorities while achieving their sustainability goals.
