Nomad Media enables sub-250ms secure streaming with Red5 Pro

Nomad Media, a cloud-based content and asset management platform, partnered with Red5 Pro to address the challenge of streaming real-time video and audio from highly secured, offline environments into centralized government cloud systems without compromising security, speed, or control. This was a critical need for government and defense agencies operating in isolated field environments and secure facilities.

The solution implemented by Red5 Pro and Nomad Media used a dedicated AWS Direct Connect link to securely bridge these offline networks with AWS GovCloud. Red5 Pro provided the ultra-low latency streaming from the secured source, while Nomad Media managed the secure ingestion, access control, and analysis in the cloud. This enabled real-time decision-making with sub-250ms latency for live feeds and provided centralized, searchable archives for post-event analysis, as demonstrated in deployments for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and Caltrans.
