How Red Points Helped Tenga Remove Over 17,000 Infringements From Online Platforms

TENGA, founded in 2005 by Koji Matsumoto, is a Japanese intimate pleasure company known for its distinctive product design and materials. When thousands of counterfeit TENGA products began appearing on more than 15 marketplaces (including eBay and AliExpress), threatening the brand’s reputation and consumer safety, TENGA engaged Red Points and its technological brand-protection solution to address the surge of infringements.

Red Points deployed its automated monitoring and enforcement platform, and over a year and a half reviewed more than 7,000 infringement cases—removing over 6,300 listings (a 90% success rate)—and ultimately helping TENGA remove over 17,000 infringements across online platforms. The intervention protected customers, preserved brand value, and supported TENGA’s reported exponential sales growth.
