The Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV) Boosts Efficiency with Red Hat Jboss BRMS

The Swedish Board of Agriculture (SJV) manages EU agricultural grants and applications, but its rules are complex, change every year, and had to be recoded annually. To improve efficiency, traceability, and cost control, SJV selected Red Hat, including Red Hat JBoss BRMS, to better manage its business rules within an existing middleware platform.

Red Hat implemented JBoss BRMS through a pilot that extracted and managed SJV’s rules more flexibly and with stronger audit capabilities. The result was a more maintainable system, easier rule updates, and a threefold performance increase, helping the Swedish Board of Agriculture process more than 60,000 applications more efficiently.
