STT Connect Increases Private Cloud Competitiveness with Red Hat

STT Connect, a Singapore-based I.T. and cloud computing services provider, needed a flexible, secure open source platform to improve its private cloud’s scalability, efficiency, and compatibility while avoiding vendor lock-in. It partnered with Red Hat and used Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat Ceph Storage, and related services to build a web-scale cloud that could meet strict enterprise and government requirements.

Red Hat helped STT Connect automate workflows, improve operational consistency, and speed up deployment, including launching a second datacenter in a quarter of the time of the previous build. The results included a 15% reduction in TCO, a 50% reduction in datacenter footprint, higher staff productivity, and stronger security—culminating in STT Connect becoming the first cloud provider in Singapore running OpenStack to achieve MTCS Level 3 certification.
