State of Tennessee Migrates Middleware Environment to JBoss Enterprise Application Platform running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

The State of Tennessee’s Office for Information Resources needed a more cost-effective and flexible middleware environment because its proprietary system was expensive, difficult to scale, and limited new functionality. The customer turned to Red Hat and used Red Hat Enterprise Linux with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform to replace its existing middleware platform.

Red Hat implemented the migration to a virtualized JBoss environment and provided Red Hat Consulting and Red Hat Training to help the team deploy and tune the system. The result was lower hardware and licensing costs, better performance, higher availability, and faster provisioning and deployment times, which dropped from about six months to just days.
