Spin Systems chooses Red Hat JBoss Middleware for DoD Client healthcare systems

Spin Systems was asked by a U.S. Department of Defense healthcare client to build a secure, scalable data collection and aggregation system that could handle massive volumes of records from medical devices and electronic medical records in near real time. The challenge was to deliver this while keeping costs down, integrating with many source systems, and meeting strict government security requirements using Red Hat JBoss Middleware and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Using Red Hat JBoss Middleware, Spin Systems created a flexible, clustered platform that securely ingests, processes, and reports healthcare data from 100 sites and beyond. The result was dramatic: the system now collects more than 1.2 billion records per day, gives DoD users access to records in minutes instead of weeks or months, and improved reliability, load balancing, failover, security, and cost efficiency.
