SIA Improves Speed and Costs with Red Hat Jboss Middleware

SIA, a financial services company based in Milan, needed to replace legacy billing technology with an automated, flexible prebilling system that could gather data from more than 100 sources and apply business rules to calculate client bills. To support this shift to open source, SIA worked with Red Hat using JBoss middleware, including Red Hat JBoss Fuse, Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite, and Red Hat JBoss EAP.

Red Hat helped SIA deploy JBoss Fuse to collect and store transaction data, JBoss BPM Suite to manage business rules and governance workflows, and JBoss EAP to build a web application for rule editing and versioning. As a result, SIA improved costs and efficiency by moving rules management from developers to business units, reduced development time for prebilling data streams, and integrated the new application with monitoring systems and procedures.
