Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ) Consolidates Technology Infrastructure with Red Hat

Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ), Ireland’s public service broadcaster, needed a more stable, cost-effective, and highly available platform for its radio advertising and broadcast applications. Its existing system could not support the upgraded RadioMan environment with the reliability and disaster recovery capabilities required, so RTÉ turned to Red Hat and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Red Hat implemented Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the High Availability Add-On in a stretched campus cluster with full data mirroring and disaster recovery support. The project was completed in less than four months, followed by two months of acceptance testing, and RTÉ reported far fewer minor technical issues, a more stable and reliable environment, and very little maintenance.
