P.L. Ferrari Gains High Availability for Client Support with Red Hat

P.L. Ferrari & Company, a major P&I insurance broker for the commercial shipping industry, needed always-on access to critical systems so staff could support clients and handle claims around the clock. To improve reliability, lower costs, and add disaster recovery, the company turned to Red Hat and its virtualization and Linux solutions.

Red Hat implemented Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and Red Hat Enterprise Linux on IBM Flex System hardware, with a disaster recovery site in Naples. The project centralized management, improved availability and recovery, and reduced IT and infrastructure costs; P.L. Ferrari completed the migration without data loss and now manages both production and DR systems from one console.
