Peavey Electronics delivers better faster data to sales reps

Peavey Electronics, a global manufacturer of musical instruments and audio equipment, needed faster analytics performance and mobile access to reporting for remote users. Its existing SAP-based business intelligence environment was too slow, with some reports taking 15 minutes or more, and it did not work well on modern mobile devices. Peavey turned to Red Hat, using Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA alongside SAP HANA and SAP BusinessObjects.

Red Hat helped Peavey implement a high-performance analytics platform on an NEC HANA appliance, integrated by 3V Solutions. The new system delivered about 300x improved processing performance, report response times in seconds instead of minutes, expanded mobile reporting access, high availability, and roughly $100,000 in capital cost savings. Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA also gave Peavey more flexibility to create new reports and dashboards for more users.
