A Red Hat Case Study
ONVZ, a Dutch non-profit healthcare insurer, needed to replace its home-grown infrastructure with a virtualization platform that could support both Linux and Microsoft environments while improving flexibility, performance, and ease of management. The company selected Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization over VMware and HyperV, along with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Satellite, to modernize its IT operations and reduce complexity.
Red Hat implemented a standardized virtualization setup that simplified migration, enabled high availability and live migration for mission-critical systems, and provided a single management interface for virtual workloads. As a result, ONVZ cut deployment time and IT costs in half, improved continuity for Linux and Microsoft workloads, and made upgrades and system management much easier.
