Molecular Health, a computational biomedicine company in Heidelberg, needed a more stable and manageable platform for its SAP HANA clinical data warehouse after experiencing availability issues on its previous Linux environment. The company turned to Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA to support critical clinical analysis and decision-making for its precision medicine workloads.
Red Hat implemented Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP HANA, paired with Bacula Enterprise Edition for backup and recovery, creating a highly stable, scalable, and reliable data platform. As a result, Molecular Health improved backup and restoration capabilities, simplified IT operations, and reduced operational costs by moving from expensive 128-CPU servers to more efficient 24–30 CPU systems, while also lowering maintenance overhead.
