LDCC Prepares for Future with Red Hat Openstack Platform

Lotte Data Communication Company (LDCC), a Seoul-based IT service provider, wanted to build a cloud platform to integrate siloed systems, improve efficiency, and become an external cloud service provider. To do that, LDCC chose Red Hat OpenStack Platform, along with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Consulting, to create a private and public cloud environment despite limited in-house OpenStack expertise.

Red Hat helped LDCC implement a scalable cloud infrastructure with Red Hat Ceph Storage and later Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, enabling both IaaS and PaaS services. The results included an expected 30% reduction in five-year TCO, 80% lower floor space and power costs, server setup times cut from hours to minutes, improved reliability, and new revenue from launching its public cloud service, L-Cloud.
