King’s College Hospital Integrates with Red Hat Jboss Fuse

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust needed to replace an aging integration hub that connected more than 50 clinical systems and supported critical patient records, all under a tight deadline and budget. The hospital turned to Red Hat and its Red Hat JBoss Fuse platform, with help from Answer Consulting, to ensure fast, reliable exchange of patient information in a high-stakes healthcare environment.

Red Hat JBoss Fuse was implemented as a scalable, open source integration hub with training and support to help KCH’s in-house team manage and extend it over time. The result was a faster, more reliable, and easier-to-maintain system that caused no disruption to users; the old hub could take up to an hour to reboot, while the new one reboots in under two minutes and processed a four-hour backlog in just five minutes.
