A Red Hat Case Study
KazTransCom, a leading telecommunications operator in Kazakhstan, wanted to speed up the launch of new cloud services and strengthen its competitive position in a market dominated by expensive proprietary solutions. To do this, it turned to Red Hat, using Red Hat OpenStack Platform and Red Hat Ceph Storage to build a modern cloud for business customers, including plans for IaaS, PaaS, and NFV capabilities.
Red Hat helped KazTransCom quickly implement the platform on Cisco UCS servers, creating a flexible and reliable environment for services such as VMs, Backup-as-a-Service, e-learning, and public Wi-Fi. With Red Hat, KazTransCom gained greater scalability, easier management, and stronger reliability, while using only 10%–20% of the platform’s capacity so far and winning new customers with its cloud offerings.
