Intuit Leverages Red Hat Storage for Always-Available and Massively Scalable Storage

Intuit needed a fast, reliable, and cost-effective storage solution for its TurboTax SaaS business, which serves more than 25 million customers during tax season and must handle rapidly growing volumes of data across two datacenters. To support high availability and replication while keeping response times low, Intuit turned to Red Hat and Red Hat Gluster Storage.

Red Hat implemented a distributed storage architecture using Red Hat Gluster Storage, GlusterFS, and Red Hat Consulting support, helping Intuit tune replication, improve performance, and scale across two sites with no single points of failure. The result was always-available storage with parallelized datacenter replication, a 30-minute replication SLA, and a 16:1 reduction in storage cost per terabyte compared with proprietary systems.
