Goodtech Energizes Its I.T. Infrastructure with Red Hat Gluster Storage

Goodtech, a Swedish engineering company with more than 1,500 employees and 40 offices, was facing datacenter growth challenges, rising operating costs, and the risk of vendor lock-in as its IT environment became increasingly heterogeneous. To address this, Goodtech turned to Red Hat and used Red Hat Gluster Storage as part of its storage modernization effort.

Red Hat implemented Red Hat Gluster Storage in Goodtech’s Umeå datacenter, helping replace redundant legacy hardware and create a more scalable, standard-based, and future-secure storage environment. The result was lower maintenance and storage costs, improved operational efficiency, higher performance per storage unit, and better readiness for future expansion, while also reducing vendor lock-in risk.
