EDMI Europe, a smart metering provider in the UK utilities sector, needed to strengthen its IT capabilities to support a major smart meter contract covering millions of devices. The solution automated and streamlined key processes, improved maintenance and deployment, and helped EDMI manage growth more efficiently; it also reduced licensing costs by about £30,000 per year compared with alternatives and provided faster access to local expert support from Red Hat and Tier 2.
