Aviva Asia Streamlines System Migration Reduces Costs with Red Hat

Aviva plc, a major international insurance group, needed to replace a costly, inflexible proprietary imaging and workflow system inherited through an acquisition so it could better integrate IT systems and meet its own standards. The company chose Red Hat JBoss Middleware and Red Hat Consulting to support the migration, with the goal of improving flexibility, lowering licensing costs, and speeding delivery across multiple regions.

Red Hat implemented a new on-premise workflow and case management environment using Red Hat JBoss Web Server, Enterprise Application Platform, Fuse, BPM Suite, and BRMS, while providing on-site guidance to keep the project on track. Aviva migrated 8 million images and went live in six months, reduced vendor licensing and related costs, and cut response times for users in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and the Isle of Man, helping accelerate new service delivery.
