APD Builds Procurement Solution Like No Other with Red Hat Jboss Middleware

American Product Distributors (APD), a Charlotte-based provider of custom procurement solutions, needed to replace an outdated, proprietary e-commerce platform that was hard to scale, costly to maintain, and difficult to customize for large customers. Working with Red Hat Consulting and Red Hat JBoss Middleware, APD set out to build a more flexible, secure, and high-performing procurement system.

Red Hat helped APD design and implement the eLink™ Gateway using technologies including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, JBoss Fuse, JBoss BRMS, and AWS. The new solution improved onboarding and reporting, enabled rich product comparison and big-data analytics, and increased security; APD also reported a 25% lower total cost of ownership and a 52% reduction in capital expenditures.
