RTA co-designs flagship Dubai app with Red Blue Blur Ideas using 3 user-led research phases

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai commissioned Red Blue Blur Ideas (RBBi) to redesign their flagship public service app to better meet the needs of its diverse user base. The challenge was to overhaul the RTA Dubai app, one of the most frequently used applications in the region, by moving away from a standard design process and creating a more user-centric experience.

RBBi implemented its unique 'Co-design' approach, which involved users extensively throughout the process. This included primary user research to understand pain points and motivations, allowing users to group and prioritize key services, and even testing UI options with real users to remove subjectivity from the design. The solution resulted in a user-friendly and seamless experience with a navigation structure and UX entirely driven by actual user insights, ensuring the redesigned app was both relevant and user-centric.
