Panda Ireland was looking to manage costs and introduce automation on their aluminium line at Ballymount MRF

Panda Ireland, part of the Beauparc Utility Group and operator of the largest MRF in Ireland, faced challenges with labour costs, availability, and plant efficiency on their aluminium sorting line. To address these issues, they sought automated technology, partnering with vendor Recycleye for their AI-powered robotics.

Recycleye installed one of its robots on the aluminium quality control line over two non-operational weekends. This solution automated the identification and picking of cans, achieving 98% availability and scanning 100% of the material. The implementation by Recycleye replaced one full-time employee per shift, helping Panda Ireland manage costs and improve operational efficiency.
