Largest US Healthcare Staffing Company engaged Recruitics to test whether adding "COVID-19" to Registered Nurse (RN) job titles would affect candidate response. Between January and March 2020 the employer posted nearly 3,000 RN jobs across four core roles (Emergency Room RN, Intensive Care Unit RN, Medical Surgical RN, Telemetry RN) and asked Recruitics to analyze paid and organic performance to determine the impact.

Recruitics ran statistically controlled A/B tests and analyzed paid and organic data across the ~3,000 jobs, comparing identical job titles with and without "COVID-19." Recruitics found that titles including "COVID-19" drove a 108% increase in applications per job and a 206% lift in conversion rate, with only a 5% rise in average cost-per-application.
