Volvo Cars Develops a Digital Recruitment Process using RecRight for its Global Graduate Program

Volvo, a global carmaker known for safety and innovation, needed to modernize a time-consuming, resource-heavy recruitment process for its Global Graduate Program — previously relying on manual CV screening, phone/Skype calls and in-person assessment centers. To improve efficiency and sustainability, Volvo adopted Recright’s video interviewing platform in December 2019 to streamline candidate screening.

Using Recright, Volvo screened ~4,200 applicants by shortlisting 300 candidates for on-demand video interviews and then selecting the top 100 from those responses; the platform integrated with their ATS, was easy to implement, and let recruiters and hiring managers review the same interviews. The Recright solution reduced time and people involvement, cut costs, produced a high response rate and positive candidate feedback, and gave Volvo greater flexibility and consistency in large hiring projects.
