Case Study: University of Helsinki achieves a stronger candidate pool and more hires with Recright video interviews

A Recright Case Study

Preview of the University of Helsinki Case Study

University of Helsinki International talent with video interviews

The University of Helsinki, Finland’s largest and oldest academic institution with about 40,000 students and staff, needed an efficient, transparent way to attract and assess top international doctoral talent for units including FIMM and HIIT. To screen a large, global applicant pool without slowing the process, the University of Helsinki adopted Recright’s video interview solution after receiving online applications.

Using Recright video interviews to assess language, communication and research interest allowed the teams to shortlist from roughly 250 applicants across 27 countries without adding time to the process. Recright’s solution increased invitations to personal (Skype) interviews from 5 to 15, helped FIMM and HIIT double offered contracts from 3 to 6 in 2013, strengthened the candidate pool, and enhanced the recruitment process’s professional, fair and transparent image.
