Suomen Lähikauppa Oy, a major Finnish neighbourhood grocery operator (brands including Siwa, Valintatalo and Euromarket), needed a way to identify candidates with creativity, personality and humaneness for a marketing trainee role—qualities hard to judge from CVs alone. To assess these softer attributes and bring a more human touch to recruitment, they used Recright’s video interviewing tool.
Recright’s solution asked applicants non‑traditional questions via video; 30 of 50 applicants were invited to record replies and all responded, enabling Suomen Lähikauppa Oy to shortlist five for face‑to‑face interviews and ultimately hire two enthusiastic candidates who proved their fit on the job. Recright’s video interviews improved candidate evaluation, sped up shortlisting, and strengthened the employer brand through more personal interactions, delivering clear, measurable outcomes (30 video interviews → 5 in‑person → 2 hires).
