Fortum, a Nordic energy company, needed a more effective way to screen a high volume of applicants for customer-facing sales assistant roles at Fortum Recycling & Waste. The company wanted to identify candidates who could communicate well, think logically, and fit in with the existing sales team, and used Recright’s video interview platform to support the hiring process.
With Recright, Fortum shortlisted 29 candidates for pre-recorded video interviews, giving each one minute per question to respond. The approach helped hiring managers assess candidates more effectively than by applications alone, ultimately leading to four successful hires and also uncovering strong matches for other roles, including an export assistant position, while saving time for both candidates and the hiring team.
