Utah Housing Corporation deploys 38+ TB DRaaS with Recovery Point Systems

Utah Housing Corporation (UHC), a public housing finance organization, lacked a formal disaster recovery program for its Windows and IBM i systems. Despite having local and cloud backups, UHC had no recovery infrastructure, risking weeks of downtime after a disaster. Recovery Point Systems, Inc., with partner Sirius, was engaged to design a solution.

The solution engineered by Recovery Point provided a comprehensive DRaaS program. It included on-site storage for local backups, replication to the Recovery Point Cloud, and on-demand cloud and IBM i infrastructure for restoration. After implementation, a successful test achieved rapid recovery, and the program was expanded to include Backup as a Service for additional servers. Recovery Point's solution gave UHC a state-of-the-art, reliable disaster recovery capability.
