Retail Giant builds DR strategy with Recovery Point and 24-hour ransomware snapshot protection

Recovery Point Systems worked with a large national manufacturer and retailer to overhaul its disaster recovery strategy. The customer faced a significant challenge after an HP-UX system outage caused a complete business operations failure due to an all-or-nothing failover design. Furthermore, their existing arrangement with Azure could not test the DMZ or support required legacy equipment, prompting a need for a new solution.

The solution implemented by Recovery Point involved migrating the client to a heterogeneous environment using Zerto Hyper-V systems on dedicated Cisco UCS blades, managed alongside Azure Site Recovery. Recovery Point experts personally assisted with the on-site installation and transition. As a result, Recovery Point simplified the client's DR program, provided robust testing, and delivered a volume snapshot capability for ransomware recovery, ensuring 24-hour recovery point objectives.
