The Cornerstone of Toshiba’s Aggressive Security Transformation

Toshiba, a global technology and manufacturing conglomerate, established a Cyber Security Center to shift from reactive to proactive, risk‑based security across its diverse businesses. To support an "intelligence‑centric" approach and better protect both internal systems and product security, Toshiba selected Recorded Future and deployed the Recorded Future Intelligence Platform (including Brand Intelligence and Vulnerability Intelligence) to feed threat data and alerts into its security operations.

Recorded Future was integrated into Toshiba’s SOC and SOAR workflows via API, providing dashboards of IoCs tied to threat actors, automatic enrichment of alerts, dark‑web monitoring for leaks, and vulnerability prioritization. This automation reduced manual threat‑hunting work and shortened incident response time, improved company‑wide threat sharing and governance, and enabled Toshiba to formalize analyst knowledge and scale proactive defenses across the group.
