Mercy implemented Recondo’s BenefitsPlus automated benefit-resolution service integrated with Epic, which processes EDI 270/271 transactions, injects the correct service-type logic, and maps detailed benefit data into Epic’s estimator. The integration eliminated manual rule development, improved estimate accuracy and staff efficiency, and drove a 12% increase in point-of-service collections within a year.
