A ReconArt Case Study
Premier Credit Limited, a microfinance lender operating in Kenya (with expansion into Uganda and Tanzania), was processing roughly 50,000 receipts a month—about 80% via Safaricom’s M-PESA—and faced daily reconciliation volumes of around 1,200 mobile payments that were error-prone and time-consuming to research. To eliminate manual reconciliation bottlenecks and early detect posting errors, the firm adopted ReconArt’s fully automated reconciliation platform (ReconArt™ Total Reconciliation Lifecycle, cloud SaaS).
ReconArt integrated with Premier’s systems (Mambu, M-PESA, Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Commercial Bank of Africa feeds) to automate matching and flag exceptions, delivering faster, more accurate client payment allocations and reduced operational risk. The deployment cut the reconciliations headcount the business would otherwise need (an estimated 5–6 FTEs) down to two part-time employees, paid for itself almost immediately, improved customer satisfaction, and will be rolled out to Premier’s Uganda and Tanzania operations.
