A ReconArt Case Study

Preview of the Banco Unico Case Study

Banco Unico - Customer Case Study

Banco Unico, the fifth-largest bank in Mozambique with 23 branches and over 600 employees, faced rapidly growing transaction volumes and increasingly complex reconciliation needs for card transactions and journal entries. Manual spreadsheet processes were time-consuming, error-prone, and audit-risky, so Banco Unico selected ReconArt’s reconciliation platform to automate complex matching (one-to-many, many-to-one, groupings) and standardize end-to-end reconciliation flows.

ReconArt implemented two major reconciliation processes, importing and cleansing card and core-banking data, automating matching and journal entry creation/export, triggering exception notifications, and providing dashboards and reports for auditors and managers. Banco Unico reports smoother, faster operations, higher data quality and matching rates, and business users became autonomous ReconArt users shortly after training — saving time, improving audit readiness, and enabling ongoing process onboarding and growth with ReconArt.
