Cooklist, a mobile app that tracks purchased groceries and recommends recipes to hundreds of thousands of users across major retailers, faced the challenge of matching over 1,000,000 recipes and products to individual users’ bought items while delivering fast, scalable personalized search. To solve this, Cooklist partnered with Recombee to provide a personalization engine and personalized search capabilities.

Recombee implemented personalized full-text search and automatic recipe recommendations using an ensemble of collaborative filtering and content-based models, leveraging interaction data and metadata to personalize more than a million recipes in real time. The Recombee solution produced a 27% increase in click-through rate and a significant boost in page views for Cooklist.
