FTV Prima, a leading Czech media company with multiple TV channels and the popular site iprima.cz, faced a huge, diverse video catalog and predominantly manual editorial recommendations across desktop, mobile and HbbTV. To automate personalization for millions of monthly visitors, FTV Prima partnered with Recombee and deployed Recombee’s advanced recommender engine to deliver personalized content at scale.

Recombee implemented more than 55 tailored recommendation scenarios—including a fully personalized homepage, Items-to-User and Items-to-Item models, and genre-aware business rules—across desktop, mobile and HbbTV, using collaborative filtering and custom models. As a result, Recombee lifted homepage click-through rate by 15%, increased views by 3.5%, and boosted advertising revenue, while continuing iterative model improvements with FTV Prima.
