How we Recognize and Reward Our Employees

Ideas Collide, a 57-person interactive agency, struggled to consistently recognize employees across large, diverse client teams and remote/satellite offices. In October 2016 they implemented Recognize to replace ad-hoc email shout-outs with a strategic, trackable recognition program (manager-to-peer, nominations, anniversaries) that could showcase culture and connect distributed staff.

Using Recognize, Ideas Collide created 60+ custom badges and sent 763 recognitions (about 3–4 per day), using reporting to reward top badge earners and simplify nominations. Survey results show measurable impact: 65% agree Recognize improved employee recognition, 84% feel recognized by managers sometimes or all the time and 92% feel recognized by peers; the program boosted morale, increased remote employee connection, and tied everyday praise to tangible quarterly rewards.
